This Privacy Policy explains how SnapList (the "Company" or "we") handles personal information collected through the SnapList application (the "App").

1. Purpose of Data Collection

We collect and use information for the following purposes:

  • Improving AI suggestion quality
  • Preventing fraud and ensuring security

The App may collect or use the following information:

2-1. Automatically Collected Information

  • Device ID: Device identifier (used for anonymous authentication)
  • App Usage Data: App launches, feature usage frequency, error occurrences
  • App Settings: Locale settings, camera permission status, vertical category settings
  • Authentication Information: Anonymous authentication tokens, session information

2-2. User-Provided Information

  • Captured Images: Image data from camera or library selection
  • Draft Data: Listing drafts, AI suggestions, edited content

2-3. Information Not Collected

  • Location Information: Location data is not collected
  • Personally Identifiable Contact Information: Email addresses and phone numbers are not collected
  • Sensitive Personal Information: Passwords, financial information, etc. are not collected

3. Data Storage and Retention

3-1. Local Storage

The following data is stored on your device:

  • App settings, draft data, session information: Local storage
  • Captured images: Local storage (excluded from iCloud backup)
  • Usage events: Local storage (maximum 100 events)

Drafts without images are automatically deleted if more than 1 day has passed since creation.

3-2. Cloud Storage

The following data may be stored in cloud services:

  • Authentication Information: Firebase Auth (for anonymous authentication)
  • Usage Data: Google Analytics 4 (anonymized and aggregated data)

4. Third-Party Disclosure

4-1. Google Services

The App uses Google Analytics 4 for ad delivery and usage analytics, which may automatically collect user information. For information on how Google collects and uses data, your privacy rights, and opt-out procedures, please see:

4-2. AI Suggestion Service

When using the AI suggestion feature, captured images are Base64-encoded and sent to an analysis API service. Images are used only to generate suggestions for category, brand, condition, size, and shipping method, and are not used for training or other purposes. Sent images are not stored on the server.

4-3. Other Third-Party Disclosure

We do not disclose personal information to third parties except in the following cases:

  • With user consent
  • When required by law
  • When reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of our company or others

5. Data Retention Period

  • Local Data: Stored while the App is installed. Local data is deleted when the App is removed.
  • Usage Events: Up to 100 events stored locally.
  • Google Analytics Data: Follows Google's data retention policy. See Google's privacy policy for details.
  • AI Suggestion Images: Not stored on the server after API request processing.

6. User Rights

Users have the following rights regarding their personal information:

  • Request Disclosure: Request disclosure of personal information we hold
  • Request Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request Deletion: Request deletion of unnecessary information
  • Request Cessation of Use: Request cessation of personal information use
  • Opt-Out: Stop data collection by uninstalling the App

8. Children's Privacy

We do not intentionally collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that personal information has been collected from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.
